Frequently
Asked Questions
When should I have a mold test done?
If you’ve had recent water damage. Mold needs water to survive and will start growing within 24 hours. It’s important have an inspection and air testing as soon as possible.
Should I get a mold inspection before I buy a new home?
Yes! The best way to know what’s going on at a property is to have a mold inspection done. You won’t always see or smell mold. Air-O-Cell testing is the best & easiest way to detect mold & save you $$$ in repairs.
I’m sneezing a lot and have watery eyes when I’m home…
Having a mold inspection can detect molds that cause allergy-type symptoms in your home. It’s the best way to determine what types mold you have and at what concentrations.
How do I know if my home or office has mold?
All homes and buildings have mold. Since you need to breathe in or come in contact with mold spores to have a problem, you need to know the type(s) & concentration(s)that might be bothering you or a family member.
What do you do when you test for mold?
Along with a visual inspection, we test outside to create a baseline for the inside testing. Depending on the issues you might have, we use Air-O-Cells, tape lift test or swab test when checking for mold in your home.
Where are the testing materials evaluated?
We use a local, certified laboratory so that we can get the results back to you sooner. We know that new home purchases can be time sensitive, so getting the results back to you quickly is a priority for us.
How do I pick a company to test my home for mold?
Look for a company that is insured & uses a licensed mold assessor for your mold testing & inspection. We recommend that you do not use a mold remediator for your testing as there might be a conflict of interest.
“And I will rebuke the devoured for your makes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, ” Says the LORD of hosts “
