What Happens During Your Mold Inspection And Testing?
- Enviro-Safe Inspections performs a visual inspection of your home or office space along with Air-O-Cell tests that test the air for mold spores.
- We visually inspect the property to identify areas where excessive moisture or water intrusion issues are found.
- A minimum of four (4) Air-O-Cells are used (depending on the square footage of your home or business) to test the air for possible mold issues. One (1) outside for a baseline to compare the inside testing to. Inside we place the remaining three (3) tests (larger homes require more interior tests), in the main living areas of your home or place of business. In the home, places like the living or family room, the master bedroom and a guest or playroom.
- If visible fungal growth is found, we also have the option to use a tape lift or swab test. This can be an additional test or swapped out with one of the Air-O-Cells, depending on what your preference is.
- We use a local accredited lab and depending on the time of the day your testing is performed, we can usually have verbal results by the end of the day and a written lab report with graphics the following day along with a cover letter explaining the results from the lab and pictures of the property.
- If we find out that you have a mold issue, we have a list of licensed mold remediation companies that we can refer you to along with a suggested protocol to follow if remediation is recommended. We don’t make up problems. We only report on what is found. There is no conflict of interest, so you know that what we find is legit, not because we’re trying to get a big-ticket remediation job from you.
